The imaginary institute is looking for highly motivated talent for our editorial project Create with Swift to help us write educational content, empowering people to learn the Swift Programming Language and use Apple Core Technology frameworks.

Ideal candidates come with a strong passion for app development with Swift for Apple platforms and a track record of producing excellent written content, for example explanatory articles or step by step tutorials that introduce new features and APIs released by Apple.

The collaboration requires the chosen candidate to have at least two years of expertise using Swift to create apps, to have exposure to latest frameworks released by Apple, and to have published apps for iOS or other platforms like macOS, iPadOS, watchOS or tvOS.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding requested topics, target audience, and objectives for articles based on editorial briefings

  • Reading and understanding the official documentation of Apple frameworks

  • Creating sample projects based on official documentation and/or industry best practice

  • Writing code documentation using Markup Languages and documentation frameworks such as DocC

  • Crafting well-structured short and long form articles that align with the Create with Swift brand voice

  • Effectively managing time and resources to meet deadlines and communicate with our team.

Key qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years or experience with the Swift Programming Language, SwiftUI and Apple Frameworks

  • Experience in writing technical text (documentation, programming languages, programming tutorials)

  • In-depth knowledge of Markup Languages to format engaging editorial with high readability

  • Experience or education in disciplines such as Computer Sciences

  • Professional or personal experience in collaborating with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to work in a highly-dynamic environment and collaborate as a team player

  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills

  • Proficiency in English (C1 or C2)

Nice to Have:

  • In-depth knowledge of Apple's Accessibility frameworks and best practices for implementation

  • Experience with ARKit, RealityKit and other Apple frameworks for spacial computing

Additional Information:

The collaboration is intended to start as soon as possible as requires the freelancer to collaborate as an independent professional on invoice basis. The position does not require on site presence in our offices in Napoli and provides the ability to collaborate remotely.
